Built around an analog discrete circuit, the Firewood Acoustic D.I. MKII preserves the natural detail and dynamics of your instrument while giving you the tools to shape your sound. Its compact design packs an impressive range of practical features into a pedal built for real-world performance.

SHAPE YOUR SOUND

The powerful three-band active EQ lets you dial in the perfect acoustic tone for your instrument, the room, and the music. Create a warm, balanced sound reminiscent of classic nylon-string guitars, or add sparkle and presence to help your acoustic guitar cut through a busy mix.

The LOW, MID, and HIGH controls provide up to 15 dB of boost or cut at 180 Hz, 800 Hz, and 3.5 kHz, respectively. Fine-tune your tone, reduce unwanted frequencies, and help control feedback when the stage gets loud.

The GAIN control adds extra output and character when BOOST is engaged, including a touch of saturation when you want a little more bite and presence from your acoustic sound.

BOOST AND MUTE AT YOUR FEET

The dedicated BOOST footswitch gives you an instant volume increase for solos, lead passages, or any moment when your acoustic guitar needs to step forward in the mix. Adjust the boost level with the GAIN control to find the right balance for your performance.

The MUTE footswitch cuts the output whenever you need it. Quickly silence your acoustic signal between songs, switch instruments without unwanted noise, or respond to feedback before it takes over the stage. You can even use the MUTE function creatively for abrupt, rhythmic cutoffs.

FLEXIBLE EFFECTS INTEGRATION

An onboard effects loop makes it easy to incorporate pedals such as chorus and delay into your acoustic signal chain. The loop remains active, allowing you to integrate your favorite effects without complicating your setup.

DIRECT CONNECTION TO THE MIXER

The balanced XLR output connects directly to a mixing console or other compatible audio equipment, making the Firewood Acoustic D.I. MKII an ideal companion for live performance and recording. The pedal can also operate using 48V phantom power supplied through the XLR connection, a convenient option for outdoor stages and venues where access to power outlets may be limited.

A standard unbalanced output is also provided for connection to an amplifier or other equipment.

CONTROLS:

LEVEL: adjusts the overall output volume.

LOW: adjusts the low frequencies around 180 Hz, with up to 15 dB of boost or cut.

MID: adjusts the midrange frequencies around 800 Hz, with up to 15 dB of boost or cut.

HIGH: adjusts the high frequencies around 3.5 kHz, with up to 15 dB of boost or cut.

GAIN: adjusts the output level when BOOST is engaged and controls the overall saturation character, allowing you to add a touch of drive when desired.

INVERT: reverses the signal phase to help manage phase-related issues and feedback.

MUTE: footswitch silences the output.

BOOST: footswitch increases the output volume. The boost level is adjusted using the GAIN control.

DC 9V IN: accepts a standard center-negative 9V DC power adapter.

IN: connects to your instrument.

SEND and RETURN: provide the effects loop. Connect SEND to the input of your external effects and RETURN to their output. The effects loop is always active.

OUT: provides an unbalanced output for connection to an amplifier or other equipment.

BAL/48V: is the balanced XLR output for connection to a mixing console or other compatible equipment. It also accepts 48V phantom power to operate the pedal.
